Alessandro Fonte [53692]

Born in 1984 in Polistena, Italy, he lives and works in Berlin. He holds an MA in Architecture and Engineering. He works in the eld of Architecture and Visual Arts using different media. Fonte’s work has been presented at the XXI Triennale di Milano, Italy; 16th WRO Media Art Biennale, Wroclaw, Poland; the 24th Biennial of Design Ljubljana; MAXXI – National Museum of the XXI Century Arts, Rome; Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO), Ljubljana; National Gallery of Macedonia, Skopje; Städtische Galerie Bremen, Germany, and Onassis Cultural Center, Athens.
He collaborated with the architects Dekleva Gregorič and Adjaye Associates, among others. Alongside his individual research since 2009 he also works in duo with the artist Shawnette Poe. Fonte is a founding member of the research team nanotourism and he was awarded with the highest honour (Best Collaboration Award) at the 24th Biennial of Design of Ljubljana in 2014.
