Elizabeth Hoak-Doering was born in Philadelphia and lives in Nicosia. She studied Anthropology (BA), then Sculpture (MFA, MAED) and is a Professor of Fine Arts at the Cyprus University of Technology. Her approach is interdisciplinary and includes a wide choice of materials, as well as extensive research and writing of various content publications. In 2011, she was elected to represent Cyprus at the 54th Venice Biennale. Her work is in permanent public collections.
