Maria Kofterou was born in Nicosia in 1986, where she lives and works. She studied Painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts and Philosophy at the Department of Classical Studies and Philosophy at the University of Cyprus. In 2010 she founded the AimtheForest Studio. She focuses through painting on memory and conservation issues, using illustration, design and glasswork.
