Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Fine Art Department at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, Pakistan.
His works investigate the line between fact and fiction within the representation, looking at the camera as an arti ce. Through collecting items of Pakistani popular culture, clippings from local newspapers, Urdu novels, etc, and then photographing them in the studio, he creates scenes that are reminiscent of an anthropological study. In juxtaposing these still lifes with photographic documentation of the street, the connections between reality and construction are challenged. Displaying the image against both natural and man- made materials melds their surfaces into one, and these new objects become a memorial to a fading past.
