Reem Al Nasser [53809]

Born in 1987 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, she lives and works in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. She graduated from the University of Jizan. She completed her residency at Del na Foundation, London, in 2017.
Her work has been shown in group exhibitions including: Al Obour, 21,39 Jeddah Arts, in 2019; The Clocks Are Striking Thirteen, Athr Gallery, Jeddah, in 2018; Safar, 21,39 Jeddah Arts, and The Shift, The Mosaic Rooms, London, in 2017; Inshallah Everything Will Be Fixed, in 2016, and YSA 60%, Athr Gallery, Jeddah, in 2015.
Reem Al Nasser’s work is informed by personal experiences and close observations of movement, mobility and cultural change within her surroundings. Photography, graffiti, video and sound installations bring forth untold stories, and delve into the rational, psychological obscurity and all that is perceived as complex and absurd in human nature. Al Nasser’s work relies heavily on anthropological research with an ethnographic visual approach.
